Graphic programs?

I have a photo in which I want to remove all background and prepare for reproduction on a T-shirt. I'm totally clueless insofar as the available aps capapble of handling this. I'd appreciate any suggestion, moderately priced (the ap, not the suggestion).

Not aware of any programs that will do this for you automatically so you might have to use a image editor and manually do this. When I say manual, it's not as difficult as it sounds. Adobe Photoshop and The GIMP has a tool to accomplish this task easily. Unless you have Photoshop already (or the money to buy it ;)), I recommend getting The GIMP which is free (open-source software). Here is a tutorial on how to use GIMP with the lasso tool:

It should allow you to select the image you want from that photo and then you can copy only that part.
