Thanks, Kevin.

Unfortunately, if I leave macro security at Medium, then I get some kind of message with the database I'm using each and every time I open it, from what I could tell, and that's just a pain in the (posterior ;-) ).

From a Microsoft MVP comes advice (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/addbuz/thread/4b3a5a3f-c4ad-4d59-92b8-fcb0de5bba03) to just shift it to Low since I don't really use "outside" databases, so I'm already controlling what files Access is using, anyway.

I agree, if a Service Pack is already taking care of this, then great...but then Microsoft shouldn't be asking me to apply a(n unnecessary) patch. :-)

Thanks again,
Bram

I do the same thing at work already. I think I set it not to block unsafe expressions and also set the macro security level to low.

I know, but then again, this is Microsoft we are talking about ;)  It seems like they release a patch to fix a bug only to have another bug show up :)

Maybe, Kevin, but I'd have thought something like this would be unlikely to happen...claiming I need a patch that I can't fully apply...it's as if one part of Microsoft set things up to need/want the patch, but another part basically says, "no, it's OK, we got this covered"...leaving all of us in the middle shrugging our shoulders. :-)

Thanks again,
Bram
